Situation (Challenge)
A running sample series for a new product was on significant delay. For three upcoming sample series deliveries in time had to be ensured, without influencing the serial production deliveries.
Solution (Achievement)
Improvement of communication with the customer (L, China, USA) by regular coordination via telephone conferences.
Planning of the sample series in detail with production planning and production – all samples had partially to be processed on the same equipment which is required for running serial production for the customer.
By tracking all process steps with a project team, as well as doing partial shipments agreed with the customer, timely shipments have been ensured.
